Peter Pellerito, Senior Policy Advisor with Biotechnology Innovation Organization, Honored with AURP Vision Award

Tucson, AZ, and College Park, MD, June 20, 2025 – The Association of University Research Parks (AURP) this week presented the AURP Vision Award to Peter Pellerito, Senior Policy Advisor at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), during the AURP BIO Health Caucus (held in advance of the BIO 2025 International Convention in Boston).

The AURP Vision Award recognizes individuals whose leadership and dedication shape the future of innovation. Peter Pellerito is a standout among these trailblazers. 

Peter’s influence on innovation policy spans decades, with a particularly profound impact on AURP. A longtime advocate for AURP's mission, he has played a pivotal role in forging connections between research parks, innovation districts, and the broader bioscience policy ecosystem.

“Peter is not just a longtime advocate for innovation policy — he is a true visionary connector," said Allison Madden, AURP President and Chief Operating Officer & Corporate Secretary of the University of South Florida Research Park, at the BIO Health Caucus presentation. "His belief in AURP’s mission and his unwavering support have helped amplify our impact and grow our community in meaningful ways.”

Through his role as AURP’s ambassador to the Council of State Bioscience Associations (CSBA), Peter has elevated AURP’s visibility within BIO’s national network, opening doors to strategic partnerships and expanding opportunities nationwide.
